Sustainable Global Objectives Applied by Local Youths (GOAL)

The project aims at promotion of cross border initiatives and enhancing the mobility of young people across the cross border area through creating a youth network in the cross border area dedicated to knowing, understanding and recognizing the sustainable development goals.

Project activities:

1. Creation of a network of similar organizations and opinion leaders for promotion of Sustainable Development Goals;
2. Organizing of focus groups in Sofia and Nis;
3. Audio-visual and online tools creation - developing the digital tools for interaction with the target group;
4. Working with the communities - meetings between opinion leaders and young people, training of trainers, workshops for capacity building in Nis, Sofia, Vidin and Zajecar;
5. Youth events (GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY GAMES) - 2 big events in Vidin and Zajecar including interactive games, quizzes and activities; evaluation workshop;
6. Final event in Sofia.

Project results and outputs:

1. Established youth network dedicated to the sustainable development of the cross border area and with capacity to elaborate, organize and promote initiatives among local communities;
2. Elaborated methodology and training materials on SDGs;
3. Created digital tools for promotion of the SDGs;
4. Conducted training, meetings and interactive events on the topic with 240 participants in Nis, Vidin, Sofia and Zajecar;
5. Conducted 1 final conference in Sofia.

Target Groups: 500 young people from the cross border area; 240 pupils, students, NEETs and representatives of other groups between 15 and 29 years will directly benefit with participation of meetings, trainigs, etc.
