Soil preservation initiative now! SPIN

General objective: To preserve and improve the quality of soils in Vidin and Zajecar districts across the border. Specific objective: Enhanced capacity in Vidin and Zajecar districts to address jointly the preservation and improvement of the quality of soils exposed to pollution caused by human activities.

Activities: 1.Kick-off conferences 2.Development of the Soil Protection Guidebook 3.Training on soil protection 4.Cross-border Soil Protection conference 5.Development of the Cross-Border Soil Protection Action Plan 6.Soil Protection Cross-Border Task Force 7.Development of the Web-based Soil Protection ToolBox 8.Final Project conference.

Main results: Awareness on soil preservation raised, increased capacities for sustainable development and enhanced cross-border cooperation in the project area. Main project outputs:Soil Protection Guidebook (Web-based and printed) develped; 4 trainings for 60 people delivered; Soil Protection Cross-Border Task Force established; Web-based Soil Protection ToolBox.established; CB Soil Preservation Action Plan (Web-based and printed) adopted.
