Embrace Nature

The project objectives are to improve the capacity of the project partners in terms of facilities/equipment, know-how and public support to effectively manage natural resources and restore ecosystems on their territory.           

The planned project activities encompass:

1. Delivery of equipment for restorations of ecosystems;
2. Interventions for restoration of ecosystems through joint cleaning and afforestation activities;
3. Development of a management plan for Cerjanska Cave Natural Monument for 2019-2024: an educational and public awareness campaign to improve public knowledge on nature protection and trigger a behavioral change;
4. Exchange of experience on-site and on a round-table event.

Project results and outputs:

1. Supplied equipment: improved ecosystem status of 4 CB areas (including 3 protected areas);
2. Improved capacity of local specialists on nature preservation: behavioral change in society toward more responsible attitude to nature;
3. Exchange of experience on-site and on a conducted round table.

Target Groups: Residents of Bobov Dol and Nis municipalities; School students in Bobov Dol and Nis municipalities; Visitors to protected areas; Local, regional and national environmental bodies and organizations.
