2.1 Skills & Entrepreneurship

The overall objective of the project is creating and renovating of infrastructural sport facilities for the advancement and training of the young people in the Pirot and Montana municipalities and securing ways for their active involvement in the social life; improvement of the physical and mental health of the CBC youth through sport, strengthening their (and their parents’) knowledge towards the benefits of sport; establishment of  a constructive dialogue among the young people from the CBC region; and fostering higher territorial and social cohesion between the cities of Pirot and Montana.

Main activities:

1. Construction and reconstruction of sports facilities (artificial greening of the playing area in Pirot and modernization of the stadium in the village of Nikolovo;
2. Organizing of a seminar for parents on the benefits of sport;
3. A 7-day event for the acquisition of skills and exchange of experience among young people in the cross-border region;
4. Elaboration of a strategy for the development of sport in the cross-border region;
5. Development and maintenance of an innovative website.

Expected results:

1. Established conditions for recreation and sport activities of young people in the cross-border region;
2. A secured platform for active physical activity and enhanced individual motivation for participation in sport;
3. Organized joint youth sports training/exchanges in Pirot;
4. Innovative web platform built.

The target groups are: young people from the municipalities of Pirot and Montana and their parents/relatives; administration of the municipalities of Pirot and Montana; athletes and general citizens.
