Project summary:

The overall objective of the project is to promote the intangible cultural heritage (ICH) of both regions through the use of modern ICT technologies. Specific objectives are to raise awareness of the target groups for the ICH; to create a unified CBC database for the ICH and to create prerequisites for the creation of new tourist products for intangible cultural heritage.

Planned activities:

  1. Selecting best 100 intangible culture heritages in Vidin and Zajecar district;
  2. Elaborating field studes for intangible cultural heritage in Vidin and Zajecar region;
  3. Video presenting 100 best ICH;
  4. Setting-up E-platform for intangible cultural heritage in Vidin and Zajecar District;
  5. Training "How to made a touristic product of ICH";
  6. Training for ”ICT as tool for promotion of intangible cultural heritage”;
  7. Festival "Digital intangible cultural heritage in Vidin and Zajecar District”;
  8. Intangible cultural heritage happening in Vidin.

Expected outcomes:

  1. Established unified CBC e-platform with a database on intangible cultural heritage;
  2. Increased awareness of the cross-border area of intangible cultural heritage.

Target groups of the project are the following organizations from the districts of Vidin and Zajecar: cultural organizations; museums; tour operators and tourist organizations; NGOs; local authorities.

Project summary:

The project main objective is increasing of the quality of the tourist products and services in the cross-border area and developing new ones through increasing the qualification and stimulating entrepreneurship among youths.

Activities:
1. Study "Opportunities and challenges for provision of quality tourist services and products in the CBC area“;
2. Action plan for fostering entrepreneurship in tourism;
3. Specialized training for young entrepreneurs in tourism;
4. Online platform for business consultations and start-ups in the sector of tourism;
5. Young tourism entrepreneurs networking event.

Expected results:
1. Conducted survey among 100 key stakeholders on the needs and challenges in tourism in terms of human resources, quality of services and entrepreneurship. Organized round table with 30 participants. Elaborated 3-lingual report on the study "Opportunities and challenges for provision of quality tourist services and products in the CBC area“;
2. Elaborated Action plan for fostering entrepreneurship in tourism, based on the above study and 3 focus groups with 20 participants each, held in Kyustendil, Vidin and Pirot;
3. Conducted training of 45 young entrepreneurs in tourism;
4. Developed online platform STEPS for provision of active educational initiatives and consultations for start-ups in tourism;
5. Established young entrepreneurs’ network in the field of tourism – STEPS.

Project summary:

Objectives: Development of bike and wine tourism, building capacity among local stakeholders for the offering of this new type of tourist product and raising awareness among the local population for the opportunities to explore differently the cbc area.

Within the project will be developed 2 studies State of the Art of Bike and Wine Tourism in CBC area identifying local stakeholders in bike and wine tourism and developing bike and wine routes. At two cross-border workshops with local stakeholders these outputs will be further improved and discussed. A guidebook for development of Bike and wine routes will be developed, Video Guide Wine & Bike tourism product produced and the capacity of stakeholders will be improved through 2 trainings - for sommeliership and marketing of tourism products. A travelling workshop for local stakeholders and journalists will build capacity and improve networking for offering of the new tourism product. Bike and wine festival will promote the new developed route and raise awareness.

Expected resuts are: 2 press-conferences, 2 studies developed and 2 cross-border workshops for local stakeholders organised; developed Guidebook and Video guide with 6 short films, 2 trainings for capacity building of local stakeholders, 1 travelling cross-border workshop for discovering of bike and wine tourism, 1 bike and wine festival with 100 participants.
