Project summary:

Project objective is to employ virtual reality technologies for tourism development through the creation of open source virtual reality tourism services based on education and increased local capacity.

Planned activities: Development of virtual reality Guides for windows, web, mobile phones and virtual reality glasses; Organisation of training for virtual reality - intermediate level; Organisation of trainings for virtual reality - advanced level; Setting up virtual reality points with glasses for virtual reality; Holding of conference for virtual reality products for tourism promotion.

Expected results: Developed 2 virtual reality Guides for promotion of 2 cross-border tourism sites on Windows, web, mobile application for phones, VR glasses; Establishment of 4 VR points; Created capacity for 25 local enthousiasts to develop VR products; Produced and maintained web-site for virtual reality in favour of tourism promotion and respective awareness campaign.

Project summary:

The general objective of the project is to strengthen the economic and tourist potentials by preservation and presentation of cultural and historical heritage.

The project activities are:

  1. A Jazz workshop with selection of maximum 10 traditional music songs from Serbia and Bulgaria to be adapted for a performance by a brass jazz orchestra;
  2. Art of mask workshop for making of survakar masks by masters of masks from the region of Pernik;
  3. An exhibition of masks and photographs in the city of Niš and Pernik organized by a representative masquerade group of 30 people;
  4. Nisville Jazz Festival – An Ethno stage where traditional composition from Jazz Workshop will be presented and rehearsed;
  5. Nisville Jazz Art of Mask Exhibition – masks exhibition in the Nisville Jazz Museum in the Nis Fortress;
  6. Surva Art of Mask Exhibition - exhibition of survakar masks and traditional jazz songs concert during public events in the city of Pernik;
  7. DVD SPICH – audio-video material collected from the conducted events in Nis and Pernik;
  8. A joint final press conference in Nis.

The expected outputs include:

  1. Organized 2 joint events and other 4 public events aimed at promotion and cultivation of the common traditions of the CBC area;
  2. Recorded and published DVD with 20 traditional songs from Bulgaria and Serbia, processed in jazz arrangement;
  3. Minimum 20 Art students and professionals, 30 members of the Masquerade group and 2 Masters of masks educated for making masks and upgrading skills.

The target groups of the project are tourist, visitors of the festivals (25 000 Musicians), Art students (20), professionals (30), Мasquerade group (30) and Мasters of masks (2).

The project aims to support the human resource development in the field of tourism in the CB region.

Planned activities:

  1. Development of an e-learning capacity building programme in the tourist sector at the target cross-border region;
  2. Development of a tourism e-learning modules and content for enhancing knowledge and practical skills of HR in the field of tourism;
  3. Design and development of a “Tourism E-learning” platform, including E-Cooking Library part and “Beverages E- Library” part;
  4. Demonstration of the Tourism e-learning platform;
  5. Two Joint HR Trainings “Good practices in sustainable tourism management” and „Traditional meals and beverages of the common cross-border region";
  6. Final cross-border event for sharing experience and best practices.

Expected outputs:

  1. Developed E-learning capacity building Programme in Tourist Sector at the Target Cross-Border Region here;
  2. Developed platform for Tourism E-learning with 3 main section - E-learning modules and content, E-Cooking library; Beverages E-library here;
  3. Organized 2 demonstration days;

Target groups of the project are:

  1. SME-s working in or related to the tourism industry in the target cross-border region (hotels and restaurant owners, private accommodations, fast-food providers, pastries, bakeries, food producers including farmers, etc.);
  2. Tourist agencies working in the target cross-border region;
  3. Business Support organizations, NGO-s, branch associations and other organizations that are conducting their activities in relation to the tourism industry development;
  4. Educational institutions of the border region such as universities, technical high schools (with tourism profile), training and vocational training organizations.
